Flex Print
  • What is flex print?
Flex is a material that when applied to a garment has a smooth thin and flexible surface and is available in a range of colours.
  • How do you print using flex?
We take your design and convert it to a series of curves. We then plot cut the curves out of the flock material before heat applying the design to your chosen garment. As this method uses a plotter to cut the design out of a single colour flock material we cannot use this method for printing photos or files made up of pixels.
  • Why should I choose a flex print?
Flex is good for complex designs. It feels smooth to the touch and sits flush to the T-Shirt. As the name suggests it is a flexible material so you can stretch your t shirt and the print will stretch with it, returning to its original form when you release the pressure.
  • What products are available in flex?
Nearly all of our clothing range is available for flex print including caps and the organic tote bags.
  • Can I upload a file for flex print?
No, you can only upload files in the following format: .jpeg; .gif and .png. As these are all raster file types (made up of pixels) we cannot cut these out of a single sheet of flex. To print using flex we need files that are made up of curves which tell our plotter where to cut, so only text and the designs we have supplied are eligible for flex print.
  • What are the care instructions for flex print?
Flex can be washed up to 80 degrees centigrade (always check garment care instructions). To keep your design looking its best we recommend that you wash the garment inside out, do not tumble dry it or iron directly over the print.
